Ta dah !!
I can't believe how beautiful they've turned out and the BEES love them !!! There's a real buzz about the place for sure ! :)
After seeing how easily they grow, I'm going to buy more and create a border for them. There are still lots of buds and it's quite exciting not knowing what they are until the buds open. Hubs is as enthralled with them as I am. It's the best 2 quid I've ever spent!! lol
Edit: If you want to try this, you will need to use 'poor' garden soil in your tubs. They don't like being grown in compost and the results will be disappointing. This tub pictured is full of very heavy clay soil, so much so, that I can't even lift it! But the flowers are thriving! If you have really poor garden soil this is a very rewarding project! :)
Katy, you know me so well ROFL !!!

LoL! I know! I'm not much better to be honest! Now let me see! Laundry? Housework? Food Shopping? Ironing?
I don't understand why I keep finding myself in the garden with my camera either! LoL!
I love it. Brilliant idea.

Lovely flowers, Katy. I did this too but got the idea a bit late so mine are in bud right now. My grandchildren have been so impressed with how quickly they've grown. I can't wait to see what's there. I'm pretty sure there's achillea, going by the leaves but the others are a mystery.
Magic!!

I inadvertantly sowed 3 packets of wild flowerseeds, having prepared for a lawn,I have now plenty of bees, and 5 - 6ft plants resembling thistles and what was once known as weeds,my Roses have died, obviously starved,my next attempt WILL be a TUB !
What a brilliant idea Katy, looks absolutely wonderful!! Lovely pics!
Cheers, Jason
Thanks Caroline, G'mac, Pat. Derek and Jason for your lovely comments! :)
I think I will edit my post to say that if you're going to try this you need to use 'garden soil', the poorer the better.
I tried another tub in compost and whilst they flowered, they are overly tall and spindly and not as beautiful as this tub.
This one has 'really' heavy clay soil in it. It's so heavy, hubby has to move it! I can't even lift it! LoL
Interesting to hear that the soil is "poor". I'll definitely give it a try!
