There were not words to describe the weather today except for **** !!! However, after attempting sit under the sun umbrella to shelter from the driving rain I gave up the challenge, as within minutes I was soaking wet .........so I retreated back indoors and not to be put off, I took these through the window .........ok, not as good as being outside with the camera but I did have to laugh at the two Jays who still took several baths in the pond/waterfall area despite the continual rain showers ......
spot the the two Jays .......
I know how you feel Jake !

LOL, I couldn't stop laughing at them as they continued to splash around the pond area during the heavy showers, they have to be the best looking "bad hair day" birds there could be !!
They get funnier with every posting!

That's some big Jay hair they've got going on - love them!

Brilliant set of photos, Hazy. They do look sooooo comical. Just think you would never have got such shots if hadn't been pouring with rain.

Thanks everyone, they are such fun, I do love the Jays .........as you say, soooo comical with their very bad hair do's :)
You are so lucky to be able to get so up close a personal Hazel, I only see the Jays fly past my garden! Lovely photos,
Evening Maria, thanks so much; yes, we are lucky to have Jays in the garden; today there were four in the garden at one stage but Jake and his Mrs. are almost resident Jays.
Brilliant, will you get baby Jakes?
with all this courtship feeding going on, I surely hope so :) !!!
O'h Hazy they are wonderful pics, made me laugh on this cold wet day. I like the way you put a tidy one for the last, as if they are saying this is the way we usually look!!
Lot to learn
