Looking forward to doing bird count at weekend

Finally got my bird pack twice like, but got two robin coasters and two packets of coffeee lol. Watched pair of great tits this morning at school breaking open sunflower seeds.
  • Lovely.  I hope you get some nice sightings when you do your Birdwatch.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it as well Deborah ... I'm doing one if the counts at work as there about 20 different species of bird and the most I seen today was 11 coal tits all at the bird table at the one time.

  • In reply to Dale :

Wow dale, I saw more great tits and blue tits at school this morning where I work, it was busy non stop lol' watching great tits come down and crack open sunflower seeds

  • In reply to Deborah P:

I feel the same, had fieldfares & redwings for the last fortnight but now the Rowan tree is bare!

Bring on this weekend, fingers crossed they come back!

  • In reply to Seaman:

Haha yeah that's only some I had around 20-30 last summer after a few pairs nested was like a coal tit invasion haha but they obvisiously went there own way when they matured so only 11 left , I have some photos will get them up soon

  • In reply to Dale :

Rain forcasted all weekend worried now, birds only come out if desperate

  • In reply to Deborah P:

Done my bird count this morning (9:15-10:15) (Southampton)

Not my best year. Some of the usual birds didn't show up. Great tit and Gr Spotted woodpecker heard but not seen (so I know they were present but it doesn't count I guess). Happy with the Bullfinch though. That's not so common in my garden :)

    Check my birdbox!

  • In reply to FireFly:
