  So now I head towards somewhere between a 1st/2nd winter Mediterranean Gull - (I really need to spend more time watching them ) - I think thats my final go - hopefully someone else will come out to play ;)

  I said it was a toughie :-) Happy to re-quote myself from a few years ago. I'm terrible with immature gulls. Shocking lack of observation skills re large gulls.

  That's pretty much to the word what I wrote last time I was wrong with a gull quiz i.d. Years on, I'm still failing both with i.d. of them and spending time watching them. Not sure why!
