Photobombing Fun

Pesky Robins....just because it's almost Christmas they always seem to want to get in on the act when I'm out taking photos.!! Perhaps you could help me identify the original intended targets before the Robins muscled their way into the photos? As always though, it's just for fun, so please feel free to give it a go.  :-)

    3) Red Kite

    6) Wheatear

    7) Gull - no idea ... pink feet  hmmmm   Glaucous !

  • OK, here we go.

    1 Barnacle goose

    2 Goldcrest?

    3 Red kite

    4 Dunlin

    5 Gannet

    6 No idea.

    7 Herring gull

    8 God only knows!

    9 Common gull

    10 Whitethroat?

The intruding robin in each is gorgeous, by the way.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Having a go too:-

    1.   Duck billed platypus (or a duck of some sort)

    2.   Round robin

    3.   Buzzard, but then I noted Hazy's Red Kite, much better

    4.   Plover (thanks again Hazy)

    5.   GB Gull

    6.   White chested little bird, my book says could be Wheatear

    7.   Fulmar???

    8.   More questions

    9.   Herring Gull Now that's for sure!!!!!

    10.   White throat, well it certainly has one.

    Must be bedtime    Tara

    Lot to learn

  • You do come up with some very innovative quizzes, Paul. I'll have a go although I'm not overly confident with some of them.

    1. Barnacle Goose
    2. Goldcrest?
    3. Red Kite
    4. Dunlin
    5. Gannet
    6. (Northern) Wheatear
    7. Herring Gull
    8. Guillemot
    9. Common Gull
    10. Not sure ... I'll try Willow Warbler

  • Some interesting answers so far, I’ll leave it a bit longer yet, just in case anyone else wants to have a go.

Without wanting to give too much away, I think that I can safely say with a small amount of confidence that this may not actually be the correct answer for number 1. It’s the wrong time of year for them.!! :-)
