Once again, it’s time for MrsT’s quizzes to branch out and spread their roots, and this round... you’ve guessed it, its trees! They help regulate our climate and provide food and shelter for a whole host of animals as well as providing us with a variety of resources, we might otherwise take for granted. Let’s face it, what wood (pun intended) the world be without trees? They come in all shapes and sizes, as do the leaves and fruit that they bare and yes, I was one of those kids who loved the school trip to Westonbirt Arboretum. For the next 12 weeks, I will leaf you with a clue or two about trees for you to mulch over.EnjoyMYSTERY TREE QUIZ #10Clue: This Venus heals.
Thinking of apple at the moment

Is it a myrrh tree.

Hello,
I came to two different solutions, either Leyland Cypress or Myrtus / Myrtle, but as I could not find a medical use for Cypress, I would also say it's Myrtle. It can be used for the treatment of infections in the respiratorical area, though the usefulness is not proven.

I'm going for Ash too. It was supposed to have healing properties.

I'm still going with Commiphora , the Myrrh tree, with its links to Aphrodite/ Venus and healing properties. But expect to be wrong but as Miranda's mum would say its "much fun". :-))
I am sticking with Apple - Venus/Aphrodite - Paris gave a Golden Apple to Aphrodite, and 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away'
I'm lost
