I’ve spotted a male peregrine who’s taken to roosting in a local Surrey building. A few years back I’d have thought this was a rare thing, but can anyone advise if they’re becoming more common, like red kites? Also, he seems a bit lonely. Does anyone know if there’s any programme that would support installing a nest box on this building, assuming permission could be obtained? The whole building facade is very exposed and doesn’t offer a breeding pair any cover.
Hi Rebecca that's a lovely photo.
Peregrine's are all over the country now, I have two nest near me with one of them in Sheffield city centre.
You can contact Surrey bird club they may help, they already support the Peregrines at Woking.

Hi Rebecca, above is another source to contact ... lots to consider but mainly who owns the building you have in mind and would they give permission for a nesting tray/box?
