August started off quite well for butterflies. But then they started to fade away. No worries as the fungi started to come out, especially down the woods. So for fungi lovers there are quite a lot of them. Only two birds for August, but the last one got me stumped. Any ID please.

Hi William, I was looking at your video again as I was sitting out in the sun earlier watching it so I couldn't obviously see properly but I think your last bird might actually be a linnet...hope you done mind I have done a screenshot for others to correctly identify it for you...
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
