Help - Tag ID swan living on suburban lawn, is it ok?

A swan landed in our garden recently and returned a few dyas later, it doesn't seem sick or injured but is this unusual behaviour? I've never seen that before. Just wondered if anyone knew what the tag might mean, it is white on blue, 7ELX. Doesn't seem googleable. I read that I probably shouldn't feed it on land. There are a lot of dogs and cars around here so I don't want to encourage it. I threw some seed on the lawn this 2nd visit before reading about this. I don't know wny but I am worried about it, it must have run out of habitat :-( there are so many new estates going up around shrewsbury maybe that is why. Does it need rescuing to relocate it? or will it just sort itself out?

If you have a nice, lush lawn, it might be there for that, esp if you're close to the river.

Hi, just as a quick note - these are open forums - public access so it would be a good idea to change your user name for safety.

I know there was some flooding recently around Shrewsbury so it's normal grazing areas may be still a bit damp and sometimes young birds become loners for a while. I wouldn't worry too much as it sounds as though it's able to fly and move about and your lawn may be very tasty
