I live in the New Forest, and have had a Golden Oriole visiting me for the last week. I first saw it in my Bird Cherry tree, and have since recorded it on BirdNet.
Is there anywhere I can report the sighting?
As they are a fairly rare species a description of your sighting would be helpful for the recorder to confirm your sighting. A photo is best if possible but my wife has just sent our local recorder her notes of the Golden Oriole she saw recently and it was accepted without a photo. I think there been several sightings of Golden Oriole up and down the country in recent days so the winds must be right for them
