I’m wondering if anybody can shed some light as I have phoned the rspb but just get passed onto another trust which doesn’t want to know, I have an injured junior blackbird that obviously has something wrong with its wing as it cant fly, I have been feeding it and giving it water but the poor thing looks in some pain and I don't know know what to do next or how to get it the help it needs.
If it is definitely injured, rather than recently left the nest, the advice you presumably were given was to take it to a vet to be put down? Small birds that have mangled wings are beyond repair usually, and at this time of year, rescue centres are inundated with animals that can recover with care.Sorry it isn't a good outcome.
