At Minsmere on 20 July: please can you tell me what the big white birds were, sitting in a group on edge of water - I was in the wildlife hide looking towards the East Hide. Thank you

I'm tempted to say egrets, but I can't see enough of the beaks or legs to define which one.

I don't think I've ever seen two or more great whites together, but then I didn't want to assume they were all little egrets.
Not the best photo but the most Great Egrets I've seen together at one time were three recently at Leighton Moss..... they all seemed to have varying bill colours from full yellow to maybe young or non-breeding bird.
In my still yet a pupil stage of identifying birds, I also look at the bill, the GWE is a shorter one than the LE, and CE seem to have a shorter one.
