Baby starling

Hi

could anybody answer my question please ?

my husband found a dead baby starling on our grass, when he arrived home from work. We do have 2 sets of starlings nesting here, along with sparrows and wrens. My question is when we’ve looked back on the camera this is not one of our garden residents. I feed them all twice a day along with 3 lots of feeding stations. I have been putting soaked mealworms out 3 times a day too, ( I think I’m feeding the whole estates babies lol), but the mother or father has flown into my garden and placed this dead baby right in the middle of the grass. I know they Chuck them out of the nests when they die, but this carried it from god knows we’re and placed it there. Looking at the time on the camera it was 11 in the morn, we only arrive home at 5, it had been there all day. Magpies and crows come to feed too but never touched the dead baby. Why did this bird feel the need to carry it into my garden ???

thanks
