A pair of collared doves are nesting at the side of our house, on the pipes leading from the air con unit into our bedroom. There are obviously eggs in the nest but I'm worried about how exposed it is to the elements. There's no protection from the wind (and snow today) for the bird sitting on the nest. Do they often nest in such exposed places? I thought they usually nested in trees. Thank you.
