I was visited by Redwings during the latest February snow fall, I had never seen them in my garden before - I live in Biggin Hill, Kent. They were happy to feast on the mealworms I had spread on the ground as the feeders were being overwhelmed with snow, there were as many as 6 all at one time. They came whilst the snow was on the ground, and have not returned since. I don't begrudge them their food, but it would be nice to see them again!
They are lovely birds and great if you can get them in the garden. You could try chopping an apple and putting it out on the lawn. Like many thrushes (incl Blackbirds) they love fruit and "fallen" apples are a favourite. Good luck!
PS, I'd take change your avatar name from your e-mail address if I was you.
A very nice photo Sylvia, and I'll endorse Nigel's advice, change your name, or at least get rid of the email aspect.....
Thanks, didn't know about the name thing, hopefully I've now changed it.
