I have a pair of robins that have nested and laid eggs in my shed they are now hatched but the parents are busy either building another nest or adding to the original nest as though they are getting ready to lay more eggs. Is this normal for robins.
Then it appears to be perfectly normal behaviour ... have you seen any babies in your garden, they can't fly well for a couple of days & will take cover in undergrowth & learning to forage ... as the weather has been very dry with no earthworms a supply of live mealworms would help them thrive! I feed my Robin waxworms which he takes back to the nest, also feeds Mum & fledglings with them, he takes them from a dish on my front doorstep! The cost seems worthwhile to maintain close contact ... he's very bold!
