A darkish goldie brown, plump juvenile bird, bigger than a dunnock, smaller than a blackbird, decidedly red legs, short tail, solitary. Ate some meal worms, but soon scurried into undergrowth. Gone too quickly for me to catch on camera.
It was the red legs that caught my eye.
