hi we have had a pair of blackbirds in our inner city garden attempting to build nests . Although they have built at least 3 I don’t know if they have succeeded in raising young . During this season the female has become very tame almost knocking on our patio doors for food and flying off to her nest . Now the male who did feed but wasn’t always around has gone but the female just stays in the garden .she still comes for food but often just perches very close to the house . Is this normal behaviour of is she not well . She often sits puffed up just watching . Jude
All you can really do is offer her some food & fresh drinking water & keep watch ... can you see if she has mucky eyes or beak or any visible ticks, is she moulting?
