i have a blue tit nest with two eggs in it. Unfortunately the cat has killed the mother. Is it possible to raise the chicks myself?

That is so sad.
I'm sure I read recently that you are not permitted to remove unhatched eggs from a wild birds nest before the end of September.

Not sure if that changes because you know the parent is no longer with us...

Have a camera in the box, the mother has distinctive markings on here face. Not sure about the second part of your question, trying to work something out.
