More Unusual birds in Gifford

We have a river in the village of Gifford, which is very low but yesterday we had 4 what looked like Goosanders. Not seen them here before. Definitely sawbills but looked a bit immature. That's not to mention, Redpolls, Siskins and Bramblings in numbers on the feeders. They have been before but not often and so numerous. They must have taken a ride on the warm air coming up the East Coast. Oh and a couple of Oystercatchers are nesting nearby as well but they come every year and presumably successors.  Ian and Maureen
