Larks in East Lothian

On Monday 13th I heard then saw a Lark in an arable field margin next to the golf course at Gifford. They come every year but not this early that I can recall. Is this unusual?

I was down at Aberlady LNR, not too far from Gifford as the lark flies, 2 weeks ago and saw several skylarks, with 2 makes sinking from on high

Thanks Alan. We are quite a bit further North of you but I guess they must have flown over you on the way here. The weather has been topsy turvy so all sorts have found their way here. Ian

Thanks Martin. We walk on the LNR from time to time and know where the Larks are but not been so far. Good to hear there are more here. Ian and Maureen
