I spotted this bird on the stour estuary, Stutton in Suffolk at 9 am this morning. It was black in colour, possibly different colour feet but they looked dark also. Body was very slim and wingspan approx a meter wide.

Yes, I agree, Glossy Ibis. They are being seen more frequently in the UK these days. Here's what one looks like up close.

With a curved bill and body shape like that i'd say Glossy Ibis as well.

Thank you all, it was quite exciting seeing a bird I had never spotted before in the UK, I think I will buy myself some binoculars and get out there and look a bit more!
