Hi guys, i am hoping you can help me id a bird i photographed on Wed, i captured them at the boat yard at Whiterock and at the beach at Portmuck, i suspect they are Twites but i am not totally sure because the beak looks too long to me.
Thanks
Darren

Hello Darren, Doesn't look like a Twite which I think would have yellow finch type bill; like Alan I'd go for Pipit as well, possibly a rock pipit but wait for the experts opinions.

I'd go for Rock Pipit with the smudgy breast and flank stripes and also the dark beak.

Yeah the Rock Pipit looks the best match, thanks all for your thoughts.
