Red Legged Partridge

Hello Ghlm, as Alan says, they do occasionally visit gardens, particularly if they are situated close to more rural areas. A few years ago we had 4 R-l-Partridges in our garden and they stayed around for a month or so. They foraged pretty much the same as pheasants picking through leaf litter and the borders around the garden. Very striking birds to look at. Nice visitor to have so well done and thanks for sharing your photo.
