Hi,
tiny little bird bird in our garden today which is wooded. It was about the size of a wren and had very white fluffy breast,it's back was brown. It was almost mouse like in it's movements in and out of climates on the wall. Can anyone help with identification ? Lochwinnoch Scotland. We have moved here from Argyll and there are quite a few birds in the garden that we have never seen before such as nuthatches.
Hi Floranfauna
It sounds very much like a Treecreeper. Did it look like this?
They are very mouse like in their movements.
I agree TeeJay. Saw one just last weekend and it does indeed move in quite a fast mouse-like way
YES, well done, that´s him-her. Never seen one before ! Thanks for replies and great picture.
They are very much a woodland bird, not rare but can be quite difficult to spot. Typical behaviour is to work their way up a tree looking for invertebrates in the crevices of the bark and then fly down to the bottom of the same tree or another and start all over again.
I hope you enjoy your new location.
Well-done TJ, another satisfied customer!
