  we refer to them as Go-Bags sometimes- and say
  
  WHEELS UP IN TEN ! ( we watch Criminal Minds)
  
  
  We also say -
  
  GET YOUR GEAR ! DEAD OBVIOUS ( Insert bid name here) in Shenandoah State Park Norfolk ( We watch NCIS )

  I keep a birding rucksack handy close to where we keep the boots and coats. I got into the habit of a go bag back in the '60's when I was involved in Fell Rescue and the habit just stayed

  Here is the new smaller and lighter Go bag-

  Subtle olive colour-

  Holds Binoculars, Scope,  iPhone adaptor, Gloves, Hat,

  Membership wallet, spare batteries, field notebook, electric tape, Leatherman, spare glasses, iPhone booster, tick remover, Imodium, loo roll,

  It's about 18 x 9 x 11

  It's a lot lighter too! 12lbs.
