I'd really like to get into recording bird song partially to attach to bird videos I have recorded but just as importantly if not more so in order to learn bird song and hopefully become a better birder.
I have been scouring the internet to try and find a recommended starter setup and keep coming across the Sennheiser Me66 but it seems to be discontinued and I'm struggling to find an alternative.
Please can anyone suggest a shotgun microphone and recorder setup please? Appreciate these can stretch to thousands of pounds but at this point this seems to be completely unnecessary for me.
Something in the region of £300-£400 would be ideal.
