Out walking the dogs when I passed a shrub in the grounds of our local hotel. It was just getting dusk. As I passed a hugh flock of wagtails flew out I would guess in excess of 70. I lost count after that . Is it normal for them to roost together?
Hi Hilary Yep it's normal for them to roost together, there was a video going around a couple of weeks ago of a flock roosting in a towns Christmas tree, and Chris Packham filmed a large roost in the middle of Sheffield a few years ago.
It must have been lovely for you to see it.
