I've reported the slowness of the site to download pages and to upload posts via the SurveyMonkey. Let's see if any notice is taken. Don't hold your breath.

I’ve noticed that access to the forums from the RSPB homepage on my Apple iPad on the Safari Browser has been very slow over the last few days, before that everything seemed ok.
Regards,
Ian.

I’ve also had problems with accessing my RSPB Local Group’s Website from the RSPB Homepage as well. All the pages seem muddled up and when you try to access your Local Group it takes you to a different RSPB page completely. I find it easier to type out my RSPB Groups name via google on my Apple iPad and that’s far quicker way to access my RSPB Group’s website. Again that’s just happened a few months ago since the RSPB Websites upgrade and I reported the problem, but nothing’s changed.
Well done TJ, I went & made a cup of tea while I was waiting to change pages!
Best wishes

I take it that included growing the tea bush and then picking the leaves yourself :).

Wondering if it's anything to do with putting more security in place after the spate of spam attacks on the community pages a few months ago as the homepage, shop are working perfectly - as you would expect !
I had to telephone RSPB customer services today about a pair of binoculars I bought a few years ago but I couldn't get pick up from either of two landline numbers, I just got "elevator music" lol Tried to phone 5 times, two different numbers and waited over 5 mins each time .... then gave up :( Maybe everyone has gone home early for Christmas ;)

Can't believe any extra security introduced a couple of months ago would have any effect on the current situation. Possibly server issues - either one or two have gone down or have been transferred to other duties as I suspect that RSPB online might be doing a lot of extra business at this time of year. At the end of the day we know where the "Community" fits in their list of priorities.
My sympathies to anyone attempting to post photos or videos just now--it must be a pain. Yep, the site is slow--no idea why. However, we've been here before folks and the world did not end so let's remember that worse things happen at sea, apparently, and at least it's not genocide! Not to mention that certain so-called world leaders might well bring on the end of the world! In the meantime, please hang in there while we wait to see what will happen (with the site as well as the world!) but if you choose to take a short holiday from posting pics that is understandable! Since it's the season of good will I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year, etc.--Happy Holidays!
Kind regards,
Ann
In reply to Gardenbirder:
Merry Christmas to you too Ann, seeing it might take that long for you to see it :)
