It is thanks to Shane’s idea that we post December and January Good Egg post results.
It is with a sad heart that we say good bye to 2 previous Good Egg award holders. Al and Kesmum will be sorely missed by all of us. In celebration of their time on the communities we have decided to choose two posts for December and January
December’s Good egg post goes to Kezsmum for her post regarding a G.S Woodpecker
And January’s good egg post award goes to Al for his trip report of Oronsay
A special mention goes to Shane, Aiki and Sparrow, along with all forum members who shared this sad news and their thoughts of Al and Kezsmum.
Our thoughts go out to Al and Pip’s family and friends.
Warm Regards,
RSPB Mods
Why not check out the news from the wildlife enquiries team?
what sad news,a fitting tribute to both of them.

This honouring of two members is timely - well done Shane and Mrs T for the swift action in remembrance.
It is, as wren has posted, a fitting tribute to members of the community.
That's a nice thought, and a suitable tribute :)

Wonderful decision and thanks to those who suggested it and to the Mods who put it into action; I join other members in honouring Al and Kezsmum and may they rest in peace.

Like Des I'm also a relative newcomer to the forums and didn't know Al and Kezsmum. If anything it makes the tribute even more poignant as the posts linked to this award are so vibrant - it's easy to see what an important contribution they made to the community. Thanks to all involved for honouring their memory.
