Thanks for your patience over the last week or so while the community has been in lockdown. Good news – the upgrade has now been implemented and you’re free to start commenting and posting across the community again.
With the upgrade I’m sure you’ll notice quickly that there are some minor differences in how you find and create posts, please give it a bit of time to get used to it. To help we’re producing some step by step guides about the most commonly used feature’s on here which will be posted in this thread as well. We're hoping to have these live by the end of the week.
While the community has been thoroughly checked we’re sure that the eagle-eyed amongst you will find some issues so please if you do find any errors drop them in this thread that we’ll be moderating to make sure any issues are picked up on and corrected asap.
We know you’ve been keen to get some new features on the community as part of the upgrade and I have some news on that as well.

I still have to go to the top post and reply to that in order to get a comment on the margin at the bottom of the page. However I see that once more (for me) the orange Join & Donate is no longer there.
On the second line of the banner which starts with Wildlife the background colour is blue and the words are white, apart from About where the background is white and the word is in black. To the right of that is More, suggesting a drop down list. If I click that, that too becomes black on white (rather than white on blue), and clicking on that reveals the Join & Donate bit, making it must less obtrusive within the Community.

Does anyone know that the pencil, top left, which opens Manage and shows Administration? Is it for me to use for some reason, or for the Powers That Be?
Sheila here is what I see( i.e still have the join & Donate)
and both you and I are online but shows just 1 member doh!
That puzzled me too, Sheila. Being nosy I clicked on it and it opened a side panel which said Administration. Clicking on that opened up a page which displayed a "Moderation Queue". It seems to be to do with the progress of complaints. Not sure what use it to us.

How weird. Not only do I not have Join & Donate, but neither do I have 1 member is here.
If I remember correctly, in the past we have been told there are different servers at Sandy, and we could be on different ones... perhaps!!
Another irrelevant piece cluttering up the screen, perhaps?
Still no reply from any of the RSPB staff about all of our negative views. Just like the previous upgrade.

I had to laugh, I've just been awarded three "know-it-all" awards. Sounds more like an insult than a commendation. They've really got to get rid of these ridiculous awards. We are all equal on here and would like to treated as grown-ups.

LOL Tony, maybe we can trade in all these irrelevent awards for a "listen to now't award" that we can send to the DT. I want to stay on the forum but the current layout is far too time consuming with the extra effort we have to put in to searching, scrolling and resizing pics, etc., it is such a user unfriendly system and especially hard on my poor eyesight; I'm hanging on in the vain hope some changes can be made to make it flow better but won't be holding my breath. I find it hard to believe someone came up with this type of upgrade, it beggars belief.
