Hi all,
We have some exciting news – we’ll be upgrading the RSPB Community between 12 and 18 November to provide a new and improved Community experience. We’ll be moving everything from our old platform to the new one, so to make sure we don’t miss anything, you won’t be able to post within the Community from 8 November until the upgrade is complete.
As well as all the old content, we’re also migrating everyone’s usernames and passwords, so you won’t need to worry about having to change anything to do with your account.
The Community will look different and how you do things within it may change, but we’ll be providing guidance and support to help you get the most out of the new platform.
Why are we doing it?
Things have changed a lot since the current Community was built and it’s become rather…clunky. We want to make the Community easier to use and a nicer experience for everyone, and the new platform will allow us to do that.
What next?
There’s nothing you need to do right now. We’ll keep you updated on progress via this forum and if you have any questions then just let us know.
Those key dates again:
Thanks in advance for understanding,
RSPB Digital Team
Oh Oh...

Thanks for the advance warning Jon, fingers crossed all goes smoothly with the upgrade. Dare I ask if we are getting a multi-photo uploader as part of the new experience - or is that asking a little too much ! and the default setting in advanced options to "Enhanced Editor" Looking forward to the new upgrade - I think !

In reply to Catlady:
I hope this upgrade is much better than the last upgrade quite a number of years ago that got a lot of criticism by forum members all those years ago. I do hope it’s a big improvement.

Ian.
