Enjoyed the walk on Saturday, especially seeing my first merganser, even though it wouldn't sit still for a photo :)

Excellent! Glad you enjoyed your visit. The mergansers are great to see, aren't they? We've had a surprisingly unwary female here in the last couple of weeks, using habitats they don't normally, such as the small ponds and even the Afon Ganol (the stream that runs along our southern boundary). I wonder if this was the one?
